Job Description

As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Sacramento, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a government location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control, verify credentials, and maintain accurate logs using a computer and/or tablet. You will respond to calls for service, communicate clearly with staff and the public, and help support a professional, orderly environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service at the front desk of a government location by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Greet and screen visitors and contractors, verify identification and/or appointments, issue temporary badges, and direct guests to the appropriate areas following site policy.
• Monitor access control points, maintain visitor and key logs, and support after-hours entry procedures to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Answer phones, monitor cameras and other security-related systems as assigned, and complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
