JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a highly responsible, professional position located in the Division of Technology and Innovation’s (DTI) Quality Assurance Unit. This position requires intermediate-level knowledge of legislative affairs, policy writing and administrative rules with the ability to work independently to conduct reviews, analyses and reporting. This position involves program oversight of legislative responsibilities for the division, administrative rule updates, and department data sharing agreements.  Knowledge of federal laws and state statutes and regulations governing the administration of education programs and use of information technology along with the ability to interpret and apply those statutes and regulations to ensure compliance is desirable. 
 
The Division of Technology and Innovation provides technological support for the Florida Department of Education. This includes K-12 education, the workforce development system (WDIS) and the Florida College System (FCS). DTI delivers data collection and data quality services, as well as manages the Education Data Warehouse (EDW) technology planning and management, educational technology and data center operations such as applications development and support and customer/end user support.
