Job Description

The Director of Leadership Development will serve as a trusted organizational leader responsible for the design and delivery of Zscaler’s leadership development philosophy, strategy and programming. This role will partner with senior business leaders and People Team stakeholders to translate business strategy into programs that ensure Zscaler is aligned to top priorities and that together we’re delivering sustained maximum results today and tomorrow.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of performance programs and practices, and a track record of conceptualizing successful strategies, leading action plans, and driving execution. This position requires an ability to think strategically as well as a knack for tactical execution. 

This role is based in San Jose and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Thought leadership in adaptive leadership development to meet our leaders’ evolving needs.
• Leverage Zscaler's business strategy and culture to design, build and deliver the leadership strategy and solutions that ensure sustained results.
• Partner with the People Team and business leaders to identify and address critical gaps in leadership development by anticipating organizational learning needs and talent gaps with a strategy to bridge talent gaps.
• Facilitate learning solutions for our most senior leaders.
• Design and guide change management, training and communications that drive adoption of business needs and insights, organizational diagnostic tools and existing tools.
• Synthesize outcomes from review and assessment programs and provide inputs into learning and leadership development programming.
• Define and manage the work using systems thinking to design and implement the systems and processes (from performance to IT systems) to maximize the impact of leadership development.
• Develop and execute the launch of programming deliverables on time, within budget and within agreed-upon scope.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in leadership/organization development and/or talent development 
• 2+ years’ experience leading teams.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to grasp complexities and perceive relationships among problems and issues.
• Expertise in the design, facilitation and deployment of leadership development strategy and execution.
• Proven track record of managing cross-functional partnerships.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of projects in a fast-paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities.
• Exceptional communication instincts & practices that keep stakeholders informed and included.
• Experience working with technology applications including learning management systems.
• Excellent business, leadership, and HR acumen, comfortable navigating ambiguity and ability to thrive in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000 - $204,000 + equity + benefits.
