Parent Support Coordinator
Job Description:
Plays a crucial role in supporting parents in the community throughout the duration of the 2024 bond which is expected to be 4-4.5 years. Works with building leaders by supporting DCSD families and community members directly and indirectly impacted by bond initiatives, including the pairing of schools in Highlands Ranch and the opening of new schools in Sterling Ranch and RidgeGate.For the school pairing process, works with leaders and serves as a district-level contact for families, helping to ensure a maximum amount of support for those impacted, working proactively to address concerns. Develops and promotes good community relations between district, families, and community members.
Requires travel around District using personal vehicle
EXPERIENCE:
- Seven years or more of experience working in schools and/or an education setting preferred.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Occasional lifting five (5) to ten (10) pounds
- Frequent sitting
- Occasional bending, squatting, or standing
Position Specific Information (if Applicable):
This position is open and available to PERA retirees. Additionally, this position is a 3-4 year bond-funded position.
Responsibilities:
District Point of Contact: Serve as a district-level contact for parents regarding the pairing process.
Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with families, community members, staff, school administrators, and other stakeholders.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Issue Resolution: Help to anticipate and address challenges or conflicts related to the pairing process.
Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with families to foster trust and collaboration.

Full Salary Range:
$74,703.81 USD - $112,055.71 USD Annual- All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.
