Job Description

The Block Talent Operations team is looking for a Project Manager to amplify and enhance our team effectiveness as it relates to project managing our workflow design and change management efforts. You will partner with teams across Block talent to develop strategic process updates.  You will be part of the Talent Operations team, a cross-geographic team that partners to provide partner-focused solutions while striving for operational efficiency and understanding. You will work with teams such as Talent Operations, Enablement, PMO, Compensation, People Tech, Internal Comms, Talent, Legal, and other partner teams across the organization to ensure that we can guide process improvements to support the strategic growth of the business. 

You Will:

  • Project manage ongoing process improvement and operational programs

  • Identify areas of improvement through research, analyzing data and outreach for feedback to grow our people programs

  • Proactively communicate upcoming changes with partners

  • Evaluate current pain points and make process recommendations to internal partners and guide implementation of process changes

  • Evaluate systems setup to guide improvements from a people experience standpoint

  • Solve complex challenges related to scaling of people programs, and create risk mitigation plans

  • Implement and improve core people programs by creating process maps and other documentation, facilitating retro discussions, developing guides, sharing best practices, and rolling out tools

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 3+ years experience in HR or Recruiting, and experience in program management

  • Project management skills 

  • Exposure with projects and global or regional change plans within high-growth tech environments

  • Experience working with teams and demonstrated experience guiding process improvement and results on time

  • Experience manipulating and analyzing data to understand trends and provide data-driven recommendations 

  • Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday, Visier, and SmartRecruiters

  • [Preferred] Experience strategic partnering with partners on multi-year company or company-wide people projects

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $125,600 - USD $153,600
Zone B: USD $116,800 - USD $142,800
Zone C: USD $110,500 - USD $135,100
Zone D: USD $100,500 - USD $122,900
