About the role

Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

 

The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.

 

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

<span 72="">Job Summary:
<span 72="">Develops and modifies Operating Procedures, Training Programs, and Engineering Practices to meet Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards. Reviews and Supports Capital Project plans to align with Refinery strategic objectives.  Coaches and Counsels Engineering team to support the refinery shift team in meeting and optimizing to the Refinery operating plan.


<span 72="">Job Responsibilities:
<span 72="">-Manages performance monitoring including, but not limited to, development and evaluation of unit-specific metrics such as energy consumptions, yields, catalyst usage/performance.
-Develops and communicates unit-specific key performance indicators. Ensures timely troubleshooting and resolution of operational and process quality problems.
-Seeks and develops opportunities to improve unit(s) reliability and efficiency based on engineering studies such as unit debottlenecking, catalyst replacement assessments. Champions capital improvements for inclusion in 5-year capital plan.
-Collaborates with optimization and production team consisting of Operations, Maintenance, EHS (environmental, health and safety), Inspection, and Planning departments to establish unit-specific production targets in support of refinery’s production plan.

<span 72="">-Lead refinery RCFA and conduct structured troubleshooting of plant operation.

<span 72="">Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
At least 5 years of related experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Master's or MBA degree typically preferred.

Preferred Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
10 years process engineering experience in refining industry required.

Organizational Leveling:
Manages professional employees and/or supervisors. Has accountability for the performance and results of a team within own area of specialty. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures and department plan. Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers.
