Position Description
Serco is excited to continue our support to the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program Office (JPO). This contract provides program management support in support of the full acquisition lifecycle of the F-35 program, to include development, production, and sustainment.
Our F-35 JPO Senior Acquisition Program Manager (Senior Program Manager labor category) is located in Crystal City, Arlington, VA, and supports the overall senior-level acquisition program management and program execution activities for the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) Air Vehicle (AV) Mission Systems (MS) Program Management Office (PMO). Our Senior Acquisition Program Manager directly supports the F-35 JPO AV MS PMO Chief of Program Execution (Mission Systems) and provides senior-level acquisition program management and program execution support to the AV MS PMO, and collaborates with other F-35 JPO PMOs, F-35 JPO Functional organizations, and F-35 JPO Directorates and provides analytical, technical and administrative support in Program Execution and Program Risk Management.
You will be part of a dynamic team of F-35 JPO Program Managers and Analysts who works closely with the customer and other key F-35 National Security and Allied stakeholders to deliver quality F-35 systems.
In this role, you will:
- Directly support the F-35 JPO AV MS PMO Chief of Program Execution (Mission Systems) and provide senior-level acquisition program management support to the AV MS PMO.
- Be responsible for providing senior-level acquisition program management support for the management and execution of the F-35 program. Specifically, providing assistance and support through continuous and meticulous orchestration and coordination efforts, enabling the most effective performance of the program control and program operations duties.
- Ensure that all forms of information are optimally and completely prepared and presented to Air Vehicle (AV) Mission Systems (MS) PMO program strategy formulation, analysis and decision making, often within significant time constraints.
- Support and ensure the results of strategy formulation and decisions are communicated appropriately both internal and external to the office, providing follow up to assure that intended messages and actions are understood.
- Perform critical program management, technical, or business analysis of major DoD acquisition systems and provides recommendations to ensure program success. Provides program analysis support for all aspects of the program.
- Collaborate with the F-35 enterprise-wide Risk and Opportunity Management community to enhance overall effectiveness of the JPO Risk Management function for the overall coordination of activities supporting F-35 Program Risk management.
- Collect, complete, organize, and interpret technical data and financial information relating to aircraft acquisition and product programs.
- Track program/project status, costs, technical performance, contract performance, schedules, and risks. This includes integration with AV MS PMO, Enterprise Teams, and PMOs.
- Be responsible for assisting in the coordination efforts regarding programmatic, technical, and sustainment areas, including taskers and inquiries from the GAO, OSD, the services, program management, systems engineering, and other stakeholders.
- Be expected to be extremely well informed and conduct a high level of dialogue and decorum that employs a diplomatic and professional communication and interaction style that carries with it the accountability and significant weight of speaking directly on behalf of and in support of the AV Mission Systems PMO.
- Be able to provide clear and concise responses to respond to a variety of programmatic taskings and inquiries.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An active DoD Secret clearance.
- Master’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Business Management or related discipline
- or a Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years additional work experience related to the labor category functional description (14 years total).
- The ability to provide onsite support at the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) located in Crystal City, VA a minimum of 2-3 days per week, each week. Onsite days in the JPO office may increase to provide onsite support up to 5 days per week to support the needs of the customer. Exact days in office at the JPO must be coordinated with F-35 customer and approved by your Serco manager.
