Job Description Summary
The Director of Technology Operations will maintain the day-to-day operations of the enterprise technology infrastructure and Dev/Ops operations to ensure stability and performance. This position will plan, staff, build, implement and manage next generation IT Dev/Ops/infrastructure and operation processes ensuring the success of the Company's digital transformation, data, and information systems initiatives. The Director will establish, monitor and manage direction, budget, plans and actions required to fully migrate the company's Technology infrastructure to the public and private cloud to provide a reliable, resilient, elastically scalable, secure and performant infrastructure/platforms as a service or as code to the information system and data teams.
The Director of Technology Operations is a key team member who completes requirements gathering, innovative design, understanding of business processes, and technical processes to enable scalable collaboration enterprise solutions supporting 1,200+ locations and over 21,000 employees.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaboratively plan with IT leadership counterparts to establish transformation direction, technology requirements, roadmaps (priority, timing), and funding requirements aligned with Sunbelt's strategic plans.
Ensure highly available, scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT operations capabilities to enable best-in-class data and information systems and data products and services.
Recruit, develop, and retain highly competent, accountable, and self-directed infrastructure engineering and Dev/Ops, team members.
Manage and monitor resource consumption, develop and adhere to budgets and optimize cloud resource cost, value, and specification.
Establish a concise set of metrics / KPIs to monitor and report on operations cost and performance. Implement accountability reporting to align cost drivers with organizational management responsibility.
Establish and maintain a cost-effective, strategic external partners who augment Sunbelt's team members as needed for cost-effectiveness, variable demand or skill depth.
Ensure comprehensive business continuity and incident recovery capability, including compute, storage, integrations, network, communications, and related resources.
Drive the changes necessary to enable agile DevOps practices, including automation, continuous delivery, deployment, and integration capabilities.
Stay up to date with the latest releases and product enhancements.
Present new product developments to key stakeholders.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
4-year technical degree and/or equivalent experience plus 7+ years of technology operations and Dev/Ops systems
5+ years of experience with problem resolution of hardware/software platform problems in complex infrastructure.
4+ years of experience in collaboration systems supporting mid-to-large environments.
5+ years experience with building, developing, and managing high-performance teams.
Advanced technical and problem-solving, and communication skills
Knowledge of change management methodologies used to drive organizational change
Experience in Agile/Scrum development cycle environments
The position will be onsite in Fort Mill Support Office 5 days a week
