Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance (AD) division is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Manager (Level L) to join our team in support of the MQ-25 Program located in Patuxent River, MD.

The position is responsible for the day-to-day engineering execution of the test program and daily coordination across the MQ-25 ITT (Integrated Test Team). This position will manage all Air Vehicle engineering disciplines at the Pax River test site and be responsible for daily coordination with Program Management, Maintenance Operations, and the US Navy customer.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-disciplinary engineering teams, managing employees across two or more technical domains to achieve program objectives.
  • Craft and drive strategic project and process roadmaps that accelerate performance.
  • Secure critical resources, provide technical oversight, and champion continuous process innovation.
  • Forge and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports to align priorities and fuel collaboration.
  • Develop, coach, and energize talent, cultivating a high-performing culture of accountability and growth.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams to evaluate complex engineering issues that affect design, production, and test.
  • Present clear, persuasive technical updates to program leadership, translating technical detail into strategic insight.

Travel may be required up to 50-75% of the time; Domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years of experience in a management and/or team lead role in an engineering and/or test environment
  • Experience with interfacing database systems and applications

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Experience supporting a military flight test program (Navy Flight Test preferred)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  Summary pay range: $181,900 – $246,100
