The Operations Business Manager will develop and initiate department-wide efficiency and modernization initiatives, help oversee and improve the day-to-day operations of the department, manage and coordinate the activities of the department's Support Staff team and provide executive administrative support to department leaders. This person will be encouraged to innovate and build upon current processes and serve as a resource to the department.
Position Overview
The Operations Business Manager will develop and initiate department-wide efficiency and modernization initiatives, help oversee and improve the day-to-day operations of the department, manage and coordinate the activities of the department's Support Staff team and provide executive administrative support to department leaders. This person will be encouraged to innovate and build upon current processes and serve as a resource to the department.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in business administration or related field with five (5) years finance, budgeting, administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Ability to conceptualize, plan, and organize complex projects.
- Ability to exercise good judgment.
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Knowledge of the operation and culture of academic schools and departments.
- Knowledge of basic accounting/budgeting procedures.
- Working knowledge of general human resources policies and procedures.

Job Duties:
- Serves as internal and external liaison for the Office of the President to ensure a smooth, efficient, and appropriate flow of information. Screens and directs visitors, telephone callers, and correspondence appropriately.
- Prepare, coordinate and execute business processes for the Office of the President, to include: meeting and catering coordination, updates organizational charts, travel, purchasing, and office maintenance and management (manage and order inventory for supplies), maintenance work orders. Additionally, serves as Contract Liaison for Office of the President.
