Truck and Trailer Mechanic

Location: Rapid City, SD

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, occasional Saturdays; day or evening shift

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Month 1: Six trailer types — pneumatics, side dumps, walking floors, belly dumps, tippers, tankers.
• Month 3: Hydraulic systems across multiple configurations.
• Month 6: Welding and fabrication — frames, axles, custom mods.
• Month 9: MSHA certified. Heavy equipment maintenance.
• Month 12: You’re not the same mechanic who walked in.

 

• $25.75–$29.75/hr + $1/hr quarterly bonus
• Paid weekly
• $0-cost medical
• 50-hr weeks, straight time

What You Bring

 

• 1+ year trailer or diesel maintenance experience
• Air brakes, hydraulics, trailer electrical
• Basic welding — specialized trailer experience a plus, not required
