Aptiv’s Strategic Semiconductors team reports into the Chief Technology Officer’s (CTO) office and is responsible for building Aptiv’s Semiconductor Strategy and driving its execution to impact all of Aptiv products globally including Autonomous Driving, ADAS, Infotainment, Zonal Control, and others.
As the Senior Manager, Semiconductor Partnerships & Ecosystem within our Strategic Semiconductors team, you will drive the development and management of our semiconductor vendor ecosystem, focusing on next-generation technology, product innovation, and strategic partnerships. You will play a key role in influencing roadmaps and aligning vendor capabilities with our long-term technological goals. This position requires a leader with exceptional strategic thinking, communication skills, and a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry. This is an individual contributor role with global impact reporting to the Head of Semiconductor and IP Strategy & Operations, and can be based in any of the Aptiv’s offices, in the USA - Boston MA, Troy MI, or Carmel IN. As a key member of the global Strategic Silicon team within the CTO organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of automotive technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Ecosystem Management:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for managing and enhancing our semiconductor vendor ecosystem, with a focus on next-generation technologies and product innovation.
- Identify and cultivate key strategic partnerships to strengthen our position within the semiconductor market.
- Align vendor activities with our long-term strategic objectives and technological roadmap.
- Partnership Development and Innovation:
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with key semiconductor vendors and partners, ensuring collaboration on cutting-edge technologies.
- Serve as the primary liaison for all vendor-related communications related to strategic initiatives and innovation.
- Facilitate regular strategic roadmap meetings to synchronize product development and technological advancements.
- Roadmap Influence and Coordination:
- Work closely with internal global product and engineering teams to integrate vendor capabilities into our product innovation processes.
- Influence and align vendor roadmaps with our technology and product development plans.
- Ensure timely follow-up on strategic action items and coordinate efforts across cross-functional teams.
- Contract and Compliance Oversight:
- Drive internal organization alignment and needs assessment to influence the business scope of the strategic agreements.
- Manage the execution, renewal, and compliance of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and other contracts related to strategic partnerships and other engagements.
- Market and Technology Analysis:
- Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions and ecosystem development.
- Assess the impact of market changes on vendor relationships and technology roadmaps.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on ecosystem development opportunities and next-gen technology trends.
- Strategic Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and present regular reports on vendor business performance and corporate development activities to senior management.
- Communicate ecosystem strategies, progress, and outcomes effectively across the organization.
- Advocate for vendor needs and perspectives within the company to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Business Administration)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic vendor relationship management, strategic partnerships, ecosystem management or business development within the semiconductor industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing strategic initiatives and managing complex vendor relationships focused on innovation and next-gen technology.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaborative success.
