Senior Applications Consultant- SAP ABAP w/ RAP and Fiori

About the job you are considering:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Consultant with hands-on experience in S/4HANA, RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), and SAP Fiori/UI5 development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative SAP solutions that enhance business processes and user experiences.  This role requires a deep understanding of modern SAP development frameworks, including RAP and Fiori Elements, as well as strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Your role:

·         Lead and support development efforts using SAP ABAP in S/4HANA environments, with a strong focus on RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).

·         Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using ABAP RAP, CDS views, BOPF, and Fiori Elements.

·         Develop and extend RAP-based services, including behavior definitions, metadata extensions, and service bindings.

·         Build and enhance SAP Fiori applications using Fiori Elements, UI5, and OData services.

·         Collaborate with functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using RAP, ABAP, and Fiori.

·         Perform technical design, create detailed technical specifications, and ensure alignment with solution architecture.

·         Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and manage transports across SAP systems.

·         Troubleshoot and resolve development issues during various testing phases (FUT, SIT, UAT).

·         Support integration scenarios using OData services, IDocs, RFCs, and Web Services.

·         Apply SAP correction instructions and hot notes as needed.

·         Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and performance optimization techniques.

Your Skills and Experience:

·         5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, including 2+ years in S/4HANA.

·         Hands-on experience with RAP, including creation of CDS views, behavior definitions, and service exposure.

·         Strong experience developing and customizing SAP Fiori applications, including Fiori Elements and SAPUI5.

·         Proficient in SAP Web IDE, Eclipse IDE, and ABAP Development Tools (ADT).

·         Experience with end-to-end SAP implementations, including at least one S/4HANA project.

·         Proficiency in ABAP OO, enhancement techniques, and performance tuning.

·         Deep understanding of SAP data models, application structure, and business processes.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues under tight deadlines.

·         Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
