Responsibilities
Reports directly to the Vice President, Medical Groups.
Director, Physician Recruitment provides leadership, direction, and ongoing administration for all aspects of Physician Recruitment to ensure policies and procedures are implemented for efficient, effective management of all programs. The Director of Physician Recruitment is accountable to communicate strategic initiatives at all levels: Corporate, Group, Division and Hospital to meet the program goals and objectives.
Coordinates the endeavors of the marketing communications department to consistently communicate with related communications departments including Web Administration and corporate communications. Develops supporting marketing brochures, collateral materials and sales tools.
Determines Internet online recruiting strategies for attracting and recruiting candidates.
Develops and manages on-campus and off-site recruitment programs including job fairs, trade shows, and media presence.
Implements and manages physician candidate tracking systems to maintain accurate and comprehensive files for: candidate records; current operational policies and procedures; internal and external reports and correspondence; governmental and regulatory standards.
Responsible for recruitment department’s relationship with Regional and Market Leadership, providing necessary reports and information to all necessary stakeholders.
Conducts on-site visits to meet with hospital administration, appropriate practices and staff.
Works closely with market leadership teams to define short-term and long-term provider needs, recruitment strategies, forecast potential problem areas.
Establishes regular and close communications keeping leadership informed of the progress of recruitment and with physician candidates as search progresses.
Identifies annual recruitment priorities and assigns realistic timetables for closing physician recruitment negotiations and therefore completion of specific recruitment priorities.
Provides direction to regional physician recruitment staff, responsible for delegating recruitment projects to regional recruitment staff to help maintain good workflow and timely completion of projects.
Leads the physician recruitment team, encourages creativity in recruitment and idea generation, inspires innovation in processes and cultivates a team that is known for strong customer service.
Develops and maintains contacts with training programs, placement firms, current medical staff, current medical groups, hospital and practice administrators, vendors, and other sources of applicants.
Provides direction to regional physician recruitment staff. Responsible for delegating recruitment projects to regional recruitment staff to help maintain good workflow and timely completion of projects.
Oversees all residency outreach activities to help formulate a plan aimed at growing candidate pipeline and retaining as many Prime Healthcare residents as possible; participates in GME council functions; partners with Prime Residency
Program Directors to provide desired educational forums and advise residents on job search activities and opportunities; tracks and reports residency outreach data.
