As our Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our product innovation, leading the charge in transforming ideas into tangible, market-ready solutions. Your multifaceted expertise in product management, industrial design, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering will be pivotal in shaping the success of our company.

Goals:

• Achieve 50% upgrade rate for new products

Salary Range:

• $100,000 - $180,000

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end hardware product development process, from concept ideation to final production, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, industrial design, manufacturing, and supply chain, to translate customer needs and business objectives into compelling product designs.
• Apply your extensive experience in product management to identify market trends, conduct competitive analysis, and define product requirements that address customer pain points and enhance user experiences.
• Harness your creativity and keen eye for industrial design to conceptualize aesthetically appealing and ergonomically optimized product designs that embody both form and function.
• Utilize your expertise in mechanical engineering to perform detailed design analysis, create prototypes, and validate product performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Seamlessly integrate electrical engineering principles into your designs, optimizing product functionality, reliability, and safety.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, implementing design enhancements and cost-effective solutions that streamline manufacturing processes and maximize product scalability.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture

Requirements

• Proven experience in product management, industrial design, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully bringing multiple hardware products from concept to production.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other relevant engineering tools.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials, with the ability to optimize designs for production feasibility and cost-efficiency.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to product development, safety, and certification.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail and a hands-on approach to design challenges.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
