About the role

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking a Faculty Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist specializing in Psycho-Oncology!

The position primarily encompasses the provision of both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric consultative services for the renowned Dubin Breast Center and Ruttenberg Cancer Treatment Center, but also involves some inpatient work on the general hospital psychiatric consultation service for admitted oncology patients.  Supervision of residents and fellows, as well as opportunities for formalized teaching and clinical research at the Mount Sinai Behavioral Health System are abundant. The position will include an academic appointment commensurate with experience.

The Mount Sinai Behavioral Health service line encompasses the clinical psychiatric services at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai St. Luke’s, Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Queens. 

The Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, a premier 1,171 bed tertiary-care facility internationally acclaimed for excellence in clinical care, education and scientific research in the heart of NYC, has an opening for a full-time Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist (CL).

Qualified candidates should possess an MD or DO degree, be board certified in both General Adult Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine, and preferably have advanced training in Psychosomatic Medicine with history of additional clinical work specializing in Psycho-oncology. 

Compensation range from 250K to 290K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
