The role:
- Support the execution of the Customer Security Assurance program that provides potential and existing customers assurance that Cohesity’s cyber security capabilities meet their data and business operations security expectations.
- This requires gaining a broad understanding of Cohesitys controls, providing responses to customer inquiries, creating and providing artifacts that address common security topics and working with internal teams to provide detailed technical responses when required.
- Support the Vendor Risk process in assessing new suppliers, assigning appropriate risk, performing appropriate due diligence and maintaining accurate records of all engagements and related risks.
Responsibilities:
- Support vendor security risk assessments, log findings, create risks in the risk register and mitigate risk with vendors.
- Support identification of risks associated with Third Party engagements, log and track open risks.
- Collaborate and build cross functional partnerships with Procurement, Information Security, Legal, vendors and business owners.
- Support company’s security and risk programs and remain in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Support daily operations related to vendor risk management.
- Learn and follow policies, processes, procedures and controls surrounding vendor risk assessment and mitigation.
- Support key metrics and monthly/ad-hoc reporting for vendor risk management.
- Support vendor risk assessment and management across the continuum of the vendor and risk management lifecycle.
- Support continuous improvement of the vendor security risk assessment process.
- Support evaluation, selection, implementation, and operationalization of all third-party vendor solutions in support of vendor risk management functions.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in the vendor risk management field.
- Provide support to ad-hoc customer cybersecurity inquires
- Support the team in ensuring the security terms in Cohesity customer contracts reflect Cohesity’s cyber security capabilities
- Support the coordination and management of responses to customer requests, including contributing to Request for Proposals (RFP) and addressing customer security inquiries, questionnaires, and/or due diligence assessments.
- Performs additional duties as required
Experience Required:
- Related experience in one or more of the following areas: 1) risk management, compliance and/or auditing; 2) Vendor Security Risk Management; 3) Corporate law/contracting; 4) Enterprise governance; 5) Information Security, is a plus.
- Strong interest in information security.
- Strong interest in gaining familiarity with common information security management frameworks, such as ISO, COBIT, and NIST, including 800-53 and the Cybersecurity Framework
- Good communication skills, in person, on video conference, calls and text. Business is run in English.
- Organized and task oriented, must remain on top of tracking of due and coming due deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently and be comfortable reaching out for support.
