Job Description

As a Security Professional - Mall Patrol Unarmed in West Nyack, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will interact with the public, provide excellent customer service, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits within the retail environment.
• Maintain a visible presence at the location to help to deter potential disturbances and promote a welcoming atmosphere.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports of daily activities and incidents that occur during the shift.
• Assist customers, tenants, and/or employees with directions, information, or other reasonable requests while on patrol.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
