Marketing/Social Media Intern Skillbridge

Through this program, ZelTech, LLC is seeking a motivated Marketing/Social Media professional to work and learn in our Corporate Outreach department located in Hampton, VA. This intern will assist with creating and designing marketing and branding concepts to promote the organization’s business, outreach and recruiting initiatives. They may perform other activities that require collaboration with the business development, corporate outreach, and human resources areas, as well. The successful candidate will participate in a practical, systematic program of on-the-job training and related instruction to develop existing military, prior civilian experience and/ or education. Internship could be from 6 – 24 weeks long depending on availability of service member and can commence within the final 180-days before a service member leaves active duty.

Responsibilities:

• Supports elevating the company's website and social media branding and postings such as on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
• Create and design content and marketing initiatives for social media, web pages, etc.
• Supports and attends on and off-site events.
• Provide recommendations to management for improving customer experience on social platforms and internal processes. 
• Tracking and using analytics to make suggestions.
• Take pictures and videos at events for utilization on company’s social medial sites.

 Requirements:

• Must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in DOD Instruction 1322.29. 
• Command approval via ZelTech, LLC SkillBridge Application.
• Official TAD/ TDY Orders to ZelTech, LLC for the period of the internship.
• Some years of experience in Public Affairs, Marketing, or Social Media is preferred.
• Knowledge of marketing and/or media fundamentals.
• Must have excellent oral, written, and communication skills. 
• Experience using major social media management tools and platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc. is a must.
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop as well as MS Office.
• Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to retrieve, analyze and communicate data.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while meeting set deadlines and goals. 
• Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information.

Desired:

• Experience in producing digital media including photography, videography, and digital refinement.
• College degree
