Sr Staff Business Finance - Market Intelligence

Develops, implements and/or maintains the financial plans and policies of the organization.
Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently), or as a manager:
• Develops, implements and maintains the financial plans and policies of the organization.
• Assesses the financial impact of key business decisions, including operating expense planning, capital allocation, cost/pricing initiatives, and others for both the mid- and long-range planning horizons
• Monitors financial performance through analyzing and reporting variances to forecasts
• Establishes fiscal controls, prepares financial reports, maintains strong relationships with product management and site finance teams
•Performs a variety of financial planning & analysis activities
• Conducts significant ad-hoc analysis to ensure the best corporate decisions are made to achieve operational and financial objectives
• Increases organizational productivity by working with internal partners to develop repeatable business processes
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Summary of Role 

This role sits within the Market Intelligence (MI) team at GlobalFoundries. The MI team understands complex and dynamic market trends and translates them to business impact for GlobalFoundries. MI is a rapidly growing team and works directly with our business, sales, and executive team to continuously guide business towards beneficial markets and opportunities. Job Responsibilities 

• Contribute to the definition of strategic and tactical approaches to the development and dissemination of market intelligence to inform key decision making at GlobalFoundries

• Create formal networks while serving as a key MI point of contact for the business and keeping abreast of market developments via interaction with internal and external customers and suppliers, reading research/analyst reports, news/media articles, etc. 

• Develop data analytics, modeling, and estimation methodologies to translate market developments into business impact by applying a deep understanding of company strategy and financial / business needs

• Develop and own market demand analytics and forecasts

• Perform competitive research and to prepare a point of view of competitive risks/opportunities.

Core Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics or Mathematics 

• 7+ years of work experience with Master degree or 8-10+ years with Bachelor’s degree in relevant professional environments, such as top consulting firms, investment banks, market research organizations, or corporate business development functions 

• Ability to read and understand bill of material tear down reports and translate into supply/demand impact across the entire semiconductor value chain

• Ability to build demand models based on shipment and end market demand

• Fluent
