OPERATING ROOM REGISTERED NURSE

Our team is fast paced and efficient with the focus on patients and their care. In this role, you will assist the surgeons while in the Operating Room and maintaining high quality patient care.
Full Time Employment 4 days - 10 hour shift
Position is based out of our Harrison Ave. location Complete Job Description Below _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Position Purpose: The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes in accordance with the mission of the facility. To assist in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established federal, state, and Joint Commission regulations and Center policies and procedures. To assist Surgical Technologists and Physicians in direct patient care. To maintain a high standard of safety for the patient and staff members. Patient liaison for care rendered. Monitor stock levels, outdated supplies and equipment needs and report to Materials Management Coordinator. Serve as a role model and leader for Technologists and Nursing Assistants. Interpersonal Relationships As a representative of FACILITY, all comments, attitudes, actions, and behaviors have a direct affect on the facility's image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, family members, physicians, referral sources, affiliating schools, visitors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork congruent with facility standards and guidelines to promote positive relations, and set an example for the staff. Position Requirements Licenses or Certifications: Current licensure to practice in the State of Ohio. Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support Course; ACLS preferred and PALS preferred. Education and Vocational Training Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. Current ACLS preferred and PALS certificate preferred. Experience Minimum of 2 years experience in perioperative nursing preferred. Skills and Abilities
