Description
The Food Program Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing the in-house USDA program for BGCGTC Blue Door Kitchen. This position involves ensuring that the program meets all federal and state regulations, quality improvement and standards, program outcomes and administrative compliance. Duties include but not limited to: complete all administrative documentation internally and for funder, act as grant liaison, design and implement training for employees to ensure successfully grant requirements, responsible for quality improvement and meeting quality standards, responsible for compliance with funder and regulatory agencies, assist with grant proposals and developing outcome measurements, and administrative compliance.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County (BGCGTC) has served our communities’ youth since 1926. The Club has evolved from its origin as a premier youth development organization into a community based organization aimed at improving the health, well-being, and livelihood for those in the community. As the oldest and largest Boys & Girls Club in the state, BGCGTC is regarded as one of the highest performing Clubs every year nationally, serving over 31,000 youth. The Club’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent related experience
- Experience in food program administration, food service management, or a related area
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Experience with grant management and fiscal responsibility
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to work regular program hours (may require working extended hours to meet deadlines)
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends
- Ability to mentor and coach personnel to success
- Ability to examine & evaluate conformity with laws and regulations governing contract compliance.
- Ability to perform compliance and enforcement inspections.
- Ability to plan, lead and shape change and growth at the branch level resulting in tangible progress towards goals
- Ability to identify, create and offer ongoing support to employees through training, encouragement, and reinforcement in order to breed success and support a positive growth culture.
- Effective organizational skills
- Excellent time management Skills
- Excellent networking and relationship building skills
- Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time
- Must have satisfactory driving record, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently certified in CPR/First Aid
- Experience or knowledge of Boys & Girls Club movement
- Bilingual
- Experience in USDA feeding programs- CACFP/SFSP
Pay & Benefits:
- Pay: $65,000 - $70,000 yearly (Exempt)
