About The Position
The Energy Delivery Asset Performance Strategist position is responsible for providing support on the development and analysis of benefits cases, benefit realization, risk, and asset models, and analyzing data results and key metrics to inform leaders about the performance of Ameren Missouri's energy delivery assets and related capital projects. The role will heavily support regulatory inquiries around the Energy Delivery function and capital investments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support team leaders in solving tough, critical challenges facing Ameren Missouri today including asset performance, project performance, legislative, and regulatory issues that have far reaching impacts on Ameren Missouri's customers, co-workers, and shareholders and support implementation of effective solutions.
- Support Ameren Missouri's ongoing annual strategic planning and capital budget process by providing thought-leadership in assisting with developing standards and expectations for the contents of project business cases and project justifications and providing oversight for assigned asset investment categories to ensure the established standards are adhered to; maintain confidential and privileged information and report appropriate information to team leadership
- Build and maintain strong relationships with team leadership and company-wide peers, working with team leadership to build, execute, measure, adapt and learn the strategy and asset investments needed to support the key priorities while building understanding of functional business areas and capacity to develop innovative and efficient solutions for existing processes or new projects
- Supports benchmarking and analysis of the performance of the energy delivery asset portfolio. Supports communication of insights, best practices, and recommended action plans to maximize the effectiveness of investments in such portfolio to drive reliability, resiliency, and customer affordability
- Assists in development of presentations and supporting materials for Senior Leadership, the President of Ameren Missouri, and the Ameren Board of Directors
- Gather and analyze data and supporting materials for development of formal response to regulatory inquiries and external communications.
- Act as part of Storm Emergency Operations Center Response Team
- Supports the development of applications and supplemental materials for state and federal infrastructure grant applications
- Partners effectively with peer-level team members across a diverse set of departments and backgrounds (Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Legal, etc.) to achieve the best results for Ameren Missouri, sometimes going beyond the initial ask of stakeholders.
- Analyze business intelligence information using a variety of internal IT systems including PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI.
Qualifications - Energy Delivery Asset Performance Strategist
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University required. Two or more years of relevant professional experience required (e.g. engineering, project management, energy delivery asset management, operations, performance improvement, accounting, financial reporting, analysis or modeling, and business planning). A degree in the following fields is preferred: Engineering, Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics. Advanced degree (e.g., Engineering, MBA, Master's of Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, other technical or business related discipline etc.) may be considered in lieu of relevant experience. Relevant certifications are a plus (PE, CPA, CFA).
