Position Responsibilities:
Practice Management
- Set and achieve the budget and goals of the practice (with overall accountability)
- Manage the practice’s profitability
- Grow the sales and delivery teams to expand our ability to qualify and drive sales opportunities including recruitment, interviewing, talent management
- Provide constructive feedback and effective support of the practice team
- Assist the leaders at Aprio in setting budget and revenue goals for cross sales & introductions to their clients
- Closely manage AR and WIP and ensure collections on accounts
- Lead practice management meetings
- Communicate professionally, clearly and effectively to target audiences
- Proactively seek information, challenge norms and drive efficiency
- Maintain a thorough understanding of status, actions, risks and drive to resolution
- Develop new products and services for Aprio clients
Sales & Client Management
- Source leads externally
- Partner with Aprio’s leaders to identify, qualify and close leads from Aprio’s client base
- Meet with clients at the C-level on a quarterly basis for information gathering and feedback on practice performance
- Build channel referral partnerships with other partner CPA firms and other associations as applicable to drive referrals
- Manage team in scoping efforts
- Deeply understand Financial Consulting Services sales, win themes and success measures
Go-to-Market
- Define go-to-market solutions and package offerings with other complimentary ones; create supporting collateral
- Align with industry and segment leadership to drive development and roll out of solutions tailored accordingly
- Run webinars and digital campaigns in partnership with Aprio’s Growth Team to develop new clients
- Develop Learning and Development training to educate others at Aprio and create training materials to support the practice
Administrative
- Participate in internal meetings, presentations, reporting, initiatives
- Adhere to Aprio’s established processes and procedures
Qualifications:
- 15 – 20 years of experience managing a practice area, business unit or similar organization
- Strong ability to develop business relationships and close sales opportunities.
- Network of external clients to source new business
- Ability to work well under pressure; strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent inter-personal skills and a proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels
- Ability to think strategically and support business objectives while effectively balancing risk/reward trade-offs
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a complex and diverse multi-cultural environment
- Self-directed and motivated to continuously improve processes to exceed expectations and help promote a best-in-class organization
- Attention to detail and ability to tightly manage concurrent projects and a large book of clients.
