Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned professional with a strong focus on data quality engineering to lead our technology data quality engineering efforts across the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS, Snowflake, data pipelines, and other related technologies, as well as a proven track record in leading data quality efforts and managing teams of data engineers. The leader will be responsible for driving the overall data quality strategy and direction, overseeing the data quality engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest level of data quality for our systems
Responsibilities:
Lead the data quality engineering team and drive the overall data quality strategy
Develop and implement data quality plans for data warehousing, ETL, ELT, data pipelines, and data governance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, architecture, and operations, to identify and resolve data quality issues across the entire data pipeline, from ingestion to consumption.
Develop and maintain data quality infrastructure and tools for CI/CD processes and data pipelines
Analyze and report on data quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data management and engineering
Mentor and train team members on data engineering, data quality techniques, and best practices
Represent the data quality team in executive meetings and provide progress updates
Manage the data quality engineering budget and resources

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 12 years of experience in data engineering and data quality, with a minimum of 6 years in a management role
Strong technical background in data warehousing, ETL, ELT, data pipelines, and data governance
Core Competencies:
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience in working with Star Schema, ODS, multi-dimensional models, and slowly changing dimensions
Familiarity with ETL frameworks, Change Data Capture, DataMart, and Data models.
Experience in the financial service industry is preferred
Technical Competencies:
Experience with data quality tools and methods
Proficiency in data technologies such as Python, Spark, PySpark, Snowflake, Redshift, MapR, DynamoDB, PostGres, SQL Server, FiveTran, DBT, Kafka, Tableau, OBIEE, and AWS Gateway
Strong experience with AWS (Glue, Eventbridge, Databrew, Airflow, etc)
Strong experience in implementing CI/CD practices in data engineering projects

Pay Range:
$195,800-$326,400/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
