Inova Health System is seeking a Philanthropy Specialist to join the Foundation team! This role is full-time working Day shift working Monday-Friday at Inova Center for Personalized Health in a Hybrid capacity.   

Requirements for consideration:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and related work experience
• Three years of relevant experience in development or a healthcare setting.

Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Represents the Foundation in the management and operation of the office as required.
• Manages the administration of meetings, rosters, meeting materials, official minutes/attendance, legal records, correspondence, catering, special occasions/recognition, and stewardship. Provides administrative support.
• Supervises and assists in the planning of campaign receptions and special events, campaign committee meetings, and campaign materials (e.g. invitations, reports, rosters, minutes, meeting arrangements, catering, and correspondence). Trains and supervises volunteers who perform support functions for Inova Health System's Foundation and or facility/program.

Informs the Inova hospital/program department managers of significant donations and comments as they are received.

• Monitors donors in hospital records and local newspapers. Arranges special visits as needed with hospital patients.
• Maintains all facility/program donor recognition plaques, awards, bulletin boards, and certificates as needed.
• Keeps current record of the various programs at the facility/program and within Inova and remains alert to opportunities to develop donor cultivation and stewardship strategies. Maintains current knowledge in the field of development regarding donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship including major legal and tax implications.
• Processes requisitions, invoices. expense reports and tracks the cost center budget.
• Participates in other operational activities required to accomplish the goals and objectives of the facility/program and Inova's Foundation.
• Maintains highly confidential and comprehensive database information for all giving/stewardship purposes related to the facility/program.
• Coordinates the timely receipt, processing, production, and distribution of regular internal reports to department staff.
• Participates in the planning process for Inova's Foundation annual fundraising activities.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
