About the Role:
The Senior Strategic Partnership Manager will directly shape and manage Spreedly’s white-label and card network strategies and relationships, impacting regulatory, commercial, and operational decisions.  Through your expertise in negotiation, relationship building, and strategic thinking, you will help create collaborative opportunities that enhance Spreedly’s market position and achieve our long-term objectives.
A strong candidate for this role will be a business-oriented team player, organizer, and people mobilizer extraordinaire.  They should have a winning attitude and a growth mindset and love to lead, learn from, and collaborate with stakeholders.  This is an individual contributor role that reports directly to the VP of Business Development and Partnerships.
This role is open to candidates who currently reside within a commutable distance of our headquarter office in Durham, North Carolina, with the expectation of one to two days a week to be spent in the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Build trusted relationships with executive decision-makers at large-scale partners within the payments industry (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), gaining an understanding of their strategic priorities within product areas
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive global partner growth strategy that promotes new revenue generation for Spreedly
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute a unified partnership approach, balancing global consistency with local market needs
  • Develop a deep understanding of  Spreedly’s value offering and adhere to Spreedly’s policies
  • Understand decision-maker business objectives, operations model, structure, and demand vs. capacity needs
  • Understand cost-saving strategies and regulatory compliance requirements to position white-label products that drive results and growth while mitigating risk
  • Be responsible for and contribute to the commercial GTM success of white-label release
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of our industry, market trends, and customer/partner pain points 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic partnership management in a B2B SaaS environment, with a track record of successfully establishing and maintaining strategic alliances. Digital payments experience is a plus!
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to create win-win scenarios in complex partnerships
  • Ability to think strategically, with the capacity to analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and potential opportunities for collaboration
  • Ability to cultivate global partnerships and align stakeholders towards strategic initiatives that have regional/global impact
  • Experience working and communicating with executive stakeholders, as well as cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization
  • Confidence in working in a highly technical environment
  • Professional verbal and written communication and polished public speaking skills 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to travel, domestically and internationally, at approximately up to 25%
  • As this role will primarily collaborate with partners based out of the US and the UK, fluency in the English language, both written and spoken, is required
