Copenhagen K, Denmark, Denmarkfull_timeVerifiedPosted 6 Mar 2025

About the role

Join Danske Bank’s Developer Experience Initiative

Are you motivated by the opportunity to enhance the satisfaction and productivity of IT developers? Do you aspire to contribute within a leading financial institution?

We are looking for an engaged and skilled colleague to join our newly established Developer Advocacy Squad within the Developer Experience (DX) Tribe. The Senior IT Adoption Specialist is crucial to our strategy on enhancing our tribe’s engagements to positively impact the awareness and adoption of best practices within IT development, and to make Danske Bank a great place to be a developer.

About the role:

As a Senior IT Adoption Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the execution of our Developer Engagement initiative. As a strong, proactive change agent, you will engage directly with the IT developer community; you will utilise your expertise to drive and shape strategic decisions and contribute to the delivery of transformative solutions. Your role will focus on enhancing IT developer engagement, collaboration and their adoption of the Tribe’s tools and practices through effective communication, feedback and co-creation formalisation, and community support.

Joining us means being part of a new dynamic and forward-thinking team where you can contribute your expertise, learn from others, and participate in advancing the current state of software development within our organization.

You will:

  • Advocacy and Adoption: Serve as a bridge between IT developers and the Developer Experience area. Champion best practices while supporting driving the adoption of our strategic themes and the company’s standardized products and tools within the developer community.
  • Collaboration and Execution: Partner with the tribe’s key internal and external stakeholders, to align solutions and strong cohesive messaging for developer tools and experiences. Work closely with change managers, program managers and business analysts to support "the year of adoption" strategy.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with IT developers, ambassadors, and other stakeholders across all levels to understand their needs and gather requirements for new initiatives. Create strong convincing stakeholder content, such as pitches, presentations, packages, and templates.
  • Developer Experience Enhancement: Identify opportunities for re-enforcement activities and enhancing the developer experience, based on insights gathered from e.g. developer interactions. Facilitate workshops to educate stakeholders on our strategic themes and aspirations, our engagement framework and shared responsibility model, and on best practices for adopting new solutions, promoting a culture of self- and continuous learning.
  • Process Improvement: Utilise data to identify trends and pains, evaluate the success of initiatives, and provide actionable insights that support informed decision-making. Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in Developer Advocacy and stakeholder interactions
  • Co-creation facilitation: Encourage a structured approach to co-creation with developers, identifying and evaluating existing initiatives and interactions to enhance collaboration.

About You:

We imagine you bring 5-10 years of experience in project adoption, execution, developer relations and community management, or a similar role in a tech environment. You are a skilled storyteller, with great communication and interpersonal skills to effectively and convincingly convey insights and recommendations

Furthermore;

  • Skilled and efficient in handling duties, managing own tasks and handling multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Structured, with a proactive mindset, focused on delivering agreed actions. Equally attentive to maintaining consistent progress while understanding the bigger picture.
  • Solid understand of IT processes and architecture
  • Ability to analyse and integrate community and data feedback into actionable strategies to continuously improve and re-enforce adoption initiatives.
  • Proactive problem-solver who anticipates issues and finds efficient solutions
  • Experience with Agile practices and tools
  • Advanced English skills

Given the nature of our work, we truly live by the cultural commitments of Danske Bank: Be open, Own it, and Team up. We look for a colleague who is motivated to assume responsibility and keenly contribute to a fun and engaging work environment, and to participate in shaping and implementing the future of software development within the Bank.
