About the role
Job Summary
Works daily to resolve requests received through AP mailbox, some of which are complex and/or escalated. Serve as a backup for SOX process compliance and support period close functions
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Manage AP inbox
- Exception reports (duplicates, holds, rejected payments, pending approvals)
- Process credit memos
- Stop pays/Void/Reissue
- Oracle testing
- Project implementations
- Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience working in an office environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- High school diploma
- Experience with Oracle and/or SAP Accounts Payable
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Accounting experience in the railroad or transportation industry
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of corporate financial principles and practices
- Well spoken-exceptional interpersonal communication skills
