Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary
Works daily to resolve requests received through AP mailbox, some of which are complex and/or escalated.  Serve as a backup for SOX process compliance and support period close functions

Primary Activities and Responsibilities

• Manage AP inbox
• Exception reports (duplicates, holds, rejected payments, pending approvals)
• Process credit memos
• Stop pays/Void/Reissue
• Oracle testing
• Project implementations
• Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 or more years of experience working in an office environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
• High school diploma
• Experience with Oracle and/or SAP Accounts Payable
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Accounting experience in the railroad or transportation industry
