Production Supervisor

First supervisory level accountable for the day-to-day results of a support or production team. Coordinates and monitors the daily activities of the team which can include exempt and/or nonexempt associates. May be responsible for a large number of direct associates in a process or transactional operations environment. Responsible for training and coaching team members and providing input on associate performance evaluations. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan. Solutions will typically be found within normal operating processes and policies. Selects the best approach using previous experience to identify the most appropriate course of action. Determines a course of action based on guidelines and modifies processes and methods as required. The supervisor receives guidance and oversight from a higher-level manager. Requires in-depth knowledge of work area(s). Still acquiring management experience within a process driven environment. Requires knowledge of standardized rules, procedures and operations within own area and also knowledge of company policies, practices and procedures. Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
