Summary

Under minimal supervision, research and compile land rights information for the Land/Survey Divisions of SRP. Process requests from various internal & external sources. Reviews, evaluates, and analyzes documentation received as related to the customer’s/client’s request. Locate, research, and interpret all land right legal documents associated with the scope of the project. Prepare the information to result in referencing efficiency for the Land Analyst use. Keep clients informed regarding due dates, project milestones and updates as indicated in the Land Department job tracking database.  

What You'll Do

• Respond to customer and client requests regarding land information 
• Prepare routine legal descriptions and documents for acquisitions, management, and disposal of land rights 
• Research land right information for ownership, existing easements, roadway dedications, and other pertinent documents / existing facilities 
• Conduct Chain of Title research to determine ownership of existing land rights 
• On a regular basis make decisions regarding potential impacts to SRP land rights and/or facilities 
• Identify encroachments and unauthorized use of SRP/USA property and initiate their removal 
• Analyze, research, and investigate third party resources and databases to locate, retrieve, interpret, and analyze land right documents from present back to original date of patent 
• Interpret legal descriptions, written text or mapped 
• Read and interpret civil plans, SRP power & water designs, and ALTA certified drawings 
• Provide quality customer service for clients and customers 
• Update the Land Department databases and job tracking systems when any land rights are impacted, added, or removed 
• Ensure that more complex problems are routed correctly and follow-up for resolution and closure 
• Other duties as assigned

What It Takes To Succeed

Promotion through the job family will require continuing education determined and approved by management.

Experience

At job entry, placement will be determined by a review of college transcripts and related work experience. Once placed into the job family, an employee may become eligible for promotion by demonstrating the ability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by their management and meeting experience requirements.  

A minimum of 6 years of related experience is required for the senior level. 

Education

College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
