The Senior Psychiatry Unit at TrustPoint Hospital is designed for men and women ages 65 and above who meet one or both of the following criteria:

  • Experiencing behavioral disturbances related to dementia or other cognitive disorders
  • Experiencing mood disturbances and/or struggles related to grief, loss, and other adjustments

 

Work Schedule Options:

  • Full-Time: Three 12-hour shifts per week (36hrs/week)
  • Shifts: Day OR Night shifts available (7:00 - 7:00)
  • Rotating weekends

As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) at TrustPoint, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch healthcare services to our patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, contribute to treatment plans, administer medications, monitor patient progress, and deliver high-quality care.

 

Day in the life of a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN):

 

As a Behavioral Health RN at TrustPoint, your day-to-day will consist of: interacting with patients and their families, treatment planning, completing shift reports, rounding/monitoring in the milieu, medication administration, checking in with BHAs, following up on incidents, completing nursing assessments and ensuring regulatory compliance, etc.

 

Population: Adolescents (10-17) and Adults (18+)

Responsibilities

REGISTERED NURSE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans.
  • Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
  • Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures.
