Priory Lawrence is looking to recruit a Registered Home Manager to join the team. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday, 9-5. You will also be on the on-call rota every other weekend.
 
The Lawrence is located in Carr Gate, in Wakefield. Our offers residential support for 14 males and females with a learning disability, and other needs.
Our team are dedicated to providing a safe and homely environment, where all individuals can make their own choices about the support they receive. We want people we care for to maximise their potential, no matter what their physical, intellectual, emotional and social capacity needs are.
We can also support people who have:

• Mental health needs
• Physical health needs
• Cerebral Palsy
• Difficulties with communication
• Epilepsy

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As the Registered Home Manager, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.

• Promotes a Positive safeguarding and learning culture, where there is openness, honesty and transparency
• Maintain a profitable service through monitoring of cost control, effective use of resources, maintaining high occupancy levels, fee adjustments and effective budgeting
• Ensure that all colleagues provide excellent standards of support to the people we support, with a focus on positive outcomes, promoting choice and independence and positive behavioural support
• Achieve excellent outcomes from internal and external audits/inspections of the service.

What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.
 
You will have experience working as a Registered Manager in a similar, mild LD service. You will understand the needs of people within our service and their requirements within the person centred support plans. You will spend the majority of your time within the service and will be supporting our residents in the community. You will also be required to attend internal and external meetings with a range of stakeholders.
