Part-Time Driver (Mornings, M-F)

 Job Summary:
LIFE Senior Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate driver to provide transportation services for our elderly clients. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors by helping them get to and from our center, medical appointments, and other daily activities. You will be responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and maintenance of company vehicles, as well as offering support to clients with mobility needs. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company vehicles, adhering to defensive driving techniques and assigned routes.
• Assist clients with getting in and out of the vehicle and ensure proper wheelchair securement when required.
• Transport clients to scheduled appointments.
• Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained, coordinating routine maintenance with dispatch.
• Follow LIFE program policies, procedures, and OSHA safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding client information.
• Display professionalism, patience, and warmth when interacting with clients.
• Attend required staff meetings and participate in ongoing education and training.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR required).
• CPR and basic first aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• One (1) year of experience working with elderly or frail populations preferred.
• Experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Must be physically capable of assisting clients in and out of vehicles and performing vehicle cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Work Environment:

• Primarily operates in a company vehicle with moderate noise levels.
• Daily travel to locations such as doctor’s offices, hospitals, nursing homes, and client homes.
