Mechanical Engineering Intern

Exowatt is a next generation renewable energy company offering commercial and industrial customers a modular full-stack energy solution that can provide dispatchable power and heat for up to 24 hours per day, specifically designed to meet the needs of energy-intensive applications such as data centers. The Mechanical Engineering Intern will focus on designing, prototyping, and testing mechanical components for Exowatt’s renewable energy systems, contributing to system reliability and manufacturability.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and CAD modeling of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Conduct structural and thermal analysis to ensure component durability.
• Prototype and test mechanical systems in lab and field environments.
• Support design-for-manufacturing efforts to scale Exowatt’s technology.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree (BS, MS, or PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., CREO, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).
• Knowledge of structural analysis and material selection for high-temperature applications.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping and mechanical testing.
