THE OPPORTUNITY

CONTEXT: 

Our Strategy and Analytics team is dedicated to empower data-driven decision-making by providing intuitive and innovative business intelligence solutions. We are committed to building products that are user-friendly, flexible, and designed to unlock the full potential of data. With over 10 team members, the Strategy and Analytics team needs to keep growing to satisfy customer demands and support our ambitious roadmap to be the backbone to any analytics needs that arise in the application.

ROLE: 

We are currently looking for a Technical Product Manager for our suite of analytics tools, including a data visualization & dashboarding tool, with an initial focus on our SQL query module. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, you will be involved in driving the development and enhancement of our SQL-based query tool. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, and customer-facing teams to deliver the best possible experience for users, helping them write, execute, and optimize SQL queries with ease and efficiency, ensuring that our application is both technically robust and aligned with the evolving needs of the customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US 

  • Technical Requirements: Define clear and detailed product requirements, ensuring that both technical and non-technical stakeholders are aligned on feature specifications, scope, and timelines.
  • User Experience Optimization: Focus on improving the usability and user interface of the SQL editor, taking into account real-world use cases from data analysts, developers, and other end users.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with designers, engineers, and QA teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, bug-free products. Communicate technical concepts to non-technical teams and vice versa.
  • Customer Support: Work closely with the Customer Success and Support teams to identify pain points, troubleshoot issues, and improve product offerings.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Use analytics tools to monitor product usage, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to iterate and enhance the SQL Query Editor.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain product documentation, release notes, and communities for both internal and external users.

YOUR PROFILE

If you have the below experience and strengths this role could be for you:

Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a technical domain, or 2+ years of experience in a business intelligence role 
  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases, including query optimization, execution plans, and the practical challenges faced by SQL developers and analysts.
  • Solid technical background, with the ability to engage in technical discussions with engineers and stakeholders.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a broad audience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal skills to actively listen to and empathize with users and collaborate with diverse people from multiple teams.
