 Medical Assistant/ TMS technician/ Treatment technician 

This is a clinical support role within Denver Wellness Associates, the role will primarily be to interact with the patient during their treatment, ensuring a safe administration of treatment as well as consistent patient experience. This role will act as an extension of the provider team, working closely with providers as well as the administrative staff.  

Job Duties 

This Medical Assistant role is primarily to serve as a technician to administer procedures in the office.  Training will be provided by the clinical team.  Included in this role will be: 

• Administration and observation of the patient during treatment
• Documentation of the treatment 
• Tracking of referrals, and those patients that are in the queue for future procedures
• Prior authorization and support of the clinical team for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, TMS as well as Spravato and other procedures
• Interdisciplinary team communication on the patient experience, as well as the insurance coverage and benefits 
• Working collaboratively with the administrative and billing team to ensure all requirements of the procedures are fully met 
• Conducts business in a service-oriented manner that is attentive, cooperative, sensitive, respectful and kind with all patients, visitors, the public and all colleagues
• Clerical duties such as answering telephones, check-in, checkout and record processing as requested, appointment scheduling and patient intake, data verification, office communications
• Attends staff meetings as required
• Understanding of insurance benefits, take patient payments, verify benefits, and support the billing team in gathering the information needed 
• Maintains certifications per state guidelines
• Performs duties to achieve or exceed established service standards
• All other duties as assigned 

Requirements

 Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Assistant license 
• Knowledge of TMS and/or Spravato would be an asset
• Clinic or office experience preferred
• EMR knowledge
• Excel and/or strong computer skills
