- Assist Blender Operator(s) with the efficient and accurate processing of finished food grade products, on the processing lines, and/or at periodic times.
- Assists with Set up / break down of equipment as needed.
- Check-in ingredients, matching them to the recipe. Communicate any discrepancies to the Blender Operator(s), Supervisor/Lead, and expeditor.
- Follows the recipe with no deviations (proper mixing of slurries, etc....).
- Assists with run tests, to ensure product meets viscosity & sensory requirements before filling process.
- Ability to learn how to operate and adjust multiple in-line pieces of processing equipment.
- Assists with lifting in variety of areas/lines.
- Communicates effectively with peers and FSQA to meet quality standards, efficient processing, including prep delays.
- Able to Identify ingredients – bases, diced vs. sliced, etc.….
- Other responsibilities w/ similar skill and work conditions as assigned.
- Operating equipment
- Safely operate various types of equipment.
- Safely operate forklifts, manual and / or electric pallet jacks. (Plant Certification)
- Must be LOTO (Lockout / Tagout) Certified
- Miscellaneous Responsibilities
- Attend Training that is made available in relation to job description
- Ability to train new staff within the department if needed
- Responsible for completing required paperwork accurately and honestly as applicable.
- Must adhere to all corporate GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and all Food and Employee Safety policies.
- Must adhere to all Allergen control programs and procedures as applicable.
- Responsible for reporting suspicious packages, activities, and individuals.
- If monitoring CCPs (Critical Control Points), must be trained in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and adhere to the approved HACCP plan(s).
- Basic Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Written and verbal communication skills. English required.
- Basic problem-solving skill
