2nd Shift Operations Lead, Distribution Center

Salary Range $36,000 - $45,000*

Compensation for this role starts at $20.75 per hour. Additional hourly compensation may be included depending on any applicable shift differential.

Job Summary:

The Distribution Center Lead is an integral part of the distribution operation. Essentially, you are responsible for making sure that merchandise reaches the designated end-destination in a timely fashion.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to train and coach new associates.

• Operate the Automated Fulfillment System and other supporting systems.

• Understands and can implement productivity goals.

• Performs all functions of the department including processing, material handling, problem resolution.

• Prioritize freight to achieve daily goals.

• Verify merchandise is received correctly.

• Ability to use an RF scanning gun.

• Ability to cross train to multiple departments as needed.

• Performs activities of workers supervised as required to meet urgent timelines.

• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of previous experience in retail, wholesale, or direct to consumer operations.

• Attention to detail.

• Proficiency to use and/or learn a RF Scanner.

• Exceeds all KPI (Quality, Productivity, and Financial performance indicators) metrics for the Saks Direct Fulfillment operation.

• Good computer skills with an ability to learn applications systems.

• Must be able to hear equipment and warning signals.

• Be able to operate manual pallet jack.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Flexibility to work in various areas of operations.

• The incumbent is required to have sustainable physical requirements including but not limited to: standing for long periods of time (up to 10 hours), lifting up to 30 lbs repeatedly, walking long distances repeatedly, bending, stooping, climbing ladders or stairs repeatedly, manual dexterity of hands to process orders, push or pull up to 50 lbs.

• Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to create/maintain spreadsheets and other files.
