We would like to welcome an Sr. Finance Analyst, Cost Optimization to our team. This person will require relevant experience, a strong academic background and a desire to influence a cleaner future through the electrification of the transportation space.
Responsibilities:
- Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost management and providing regular reports to senior management
- Implementing and managing a cost management reporting plan (including weekly, monthly and annual reports) synthesizing cost control measures progress for review with Lucid Leadership and Board of Directors
- Collaborating across departments such as Corporate Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain & Quality to develop measures and collect progress data relative to them
- Monitoring actual/forecasted cost against budget, analyzing variances and aligning on operating rationale and financial implications with the operating team
- Performing detailed cost driver analysis and driving corrective actions with the operating teams
- Leading workshops across Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply chain and Quality sub-functions to drive incremental cost control opportunities and to facilitate acceleration of initiative progress and removal of roadblocks
- Performing research and analysis to synthesize benchmarks for cost control measures
- Overseeing collaboration with business functions to drive regular meeting cadence and collaboration on analysis for deep dives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting or related field
- 4+ years of experience in cost management, budgeting, and financial analysis with a significant portion of that experience preferred to be in the automotive manufacturing industry
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, and/or supply chain/quality functions preferred
- Proficiency in financial modeling and cost analysis tools including advanced knowledge of Excel (E.g., formulas, VLOOKUP. Pivot etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
