Description
G1 Facility Services is a leading facility maintenance and construction provider, proudly serving customers nationally. We support varied industries, including Aviation, Food Services, and Hospitality. With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome a Commercial Carpenter to join our dynamic team.
Job responsibilities include a but are not limited to the following:
- Perform carpentry services- including planning, ordering of materials, and construction finishing
- Communicate with the management team to ensure timely project completions
- Work with a team by providing instruction, direction, and support during the project
- Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
- Determine the appropriate materials and supplies necessary for each step of the job
- Use a variety of hand and power tools equipment in performing duties
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials
- Construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and door-frames
- Prepare timber components for construction, installing them on roofs, walls, floors or other timber-framed structures
Requirements
- Must possess 5+ years of carpentry experience
- Understanding of 29 CFR 1926 OSHA Construction Industry Regulations and Standards, International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), International Residential Code (IRC), International Building Code (IBC), and Massachusetts Amendments
- Ability to independently perform tasks including metal framing, wood framing, sheet rock, taping, painting, drop ceiling, millwork
- Must have a working knowledge of construction skilled trades
- Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer and Construction Supervisors License preferred
- Must be willing and able to follow ALL safety precautions with appropriate PPE, follow company safety protocols, environmental, and OSHA safety best practices
- Must have flexibility as the operation is 24/7/365
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Able to lift up to 90 pounds unassisted
- Pre-employment drug screening required - positive results of any illegal substance, offer of employment may be retracted
- Must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
Compensation: Bases on experience, unique PTO policy, medical, vision, dental, and 401K.
