GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Clinical Application and Reporting Specialist is responsible for the ongoing support of the clinical applications used by the Stockbridge-Munsee Health & Wellness Center. Duties include coordinating training, consulting with clinic directors/managers and their staff in customizing software and training individuals in the daily operation of their systems. Works cooperatively to maintain a comprehensive, standardized, and integrated health care information system. Duties in this area include producing reports from the clinical applications, reporting to the appropriate agency and addressing deficiencies with clinic directors/managers. Also assists clinic directors/managers with internal reporting needs.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
All employees of Stockbridge Munsee Community must meet the following qualification:
1. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug and health screening.
2. Must be at least 18 years of age, unless otherwise stated on job description
3. Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record
4. Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays
DUTIES:
1. Support of applications:
A. Implement new and upgraded clinical applications to automate and capture clinical encounter information and its subsequent retrieval.
B. Customize clinical system files, parameters, note templates, quick orders, menus and reports as needed.
C. Provide daily support and troubleshooting to application users for system issues.
D. Address integration issues between clinical application packages/systems.
E. Provide training to system users during implementations, upgrades and new hires.
2. Liaison between departments and application vendors:
A. Acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the clinical applications to determine procedural issues versus system deficiencies.
B. Create a positive environment for reporting system deficiencies and suggestions for system improvements and enhanced functionality.
3. Report for internal and agency reporting:
A. Report IHS reporting at the specified schedule times.
B. Assist Health Center Staff with reporting for State Program/s.
C. Document and address deficiencies in reporting requirements with clinic departments as necessary.
D. Assist clinic directors/managers with data extraction from applications for planning and reporting purposes including training on how to run reports.
4. Member of HIPAA security team.
5. Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record.
6. Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
7. Required to attend job related, in-service, meetings, and training to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
8. Must adhere to tribal law and other applicable laws as well as tribal personnel policies and procedures, and land use codes.<
