Job Description:

Job Description Summary: E.T. Mahoney State Park hires a number of temporary employees to assist with its park functions. This position will focus on overnight Reservation Clerk duties with typical hours ranging from 10 pm to 6 am, although they may be slightly adjusted to accommodate applicants. Duties include balance cash drawers and credit card machines, print reports for maintenance and housekeeping. Schedule and confirm reservations for cabins, lodge rooms and campgrounds for guests by phone and/or in person. Check Park guests in/out of lodging and provide park information and related services to visitors by phone or in person. Sell Park entry permits and resale items. Monitor desk switchboard and communicate maintenance needs to staff. Operate various office machines such as computer, copier, calculator, and fax machine. Candidate may perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: At least six months experience working in a recreational area, scenic attraction, hospitality, historical, retail or customer service setting, agricultural setting, or related coursework/training.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:  Ability to work with the public and provide requested information in a clear and courteous manner; file and retrieve records using established computer system; handle multiple tasks; operate computer reservation and POS systems; maintain records.
