Battery Research Intern - Summer 2023

Start Date: May 2023 (flexible)

• Contribute as an integral part of our R&D lab operations - participate in experiment planning sessions and experiment management- Improve our experimental battery testing apparatus- Present battery testing results at weekly company meetings
• Build and test commercial format batteries and battery materials
• Optimize and improve our AI-powered battery R&D process

Requirements

• Candidates pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or other similar fields
• Great communication and teamwork, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Keen interest in hands-on battery R&D experience.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in Li-ion battery R&D and/or glovebox work.
• Fundamentals of chemistry, both experiment and theory.
• Programming experience in a language such as Python.
• Familiarity with basics of electronic circuits.
• Passionate about learning battery and energy storage technologies.
