Job Name: Retail Development Intern
Reformation is looking for a Retail Development Summer Intern to support our expanding brick-and-mortar retail presence. This role is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both retail design, construction, and facilities management. The ideal candidate is passionate about sustainable design, construction processes, and operational efficiencies within a retail environment.
This is a paid internship (40 hours/week) that will last about 12 weeks during the summer of 2025 (June - August). Full-time offers may be made based on individual performance and position availability. This role will be located at our headquarters in Los Angeles.
What you’ll do: (Responsibilities)
The internship will allow for broad introduction to all functions within Retail Development and Retail Facilities, including cross-training and direct support as needed. Specific internship projects will include:
Design Support

- Research innovative retail design trends, materials, and sustainability practices within Reformation’s parameters.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the Material & Finishes database for internal and external references.
- Create SketchUp models based on approved feasibility test-fit plans.
- Assist in new fixture drawings under CPM and DPM guidance.
Construction & Project Management Support

- Support in logistics for owner-supplied items, including researching materials and understanding bulk ordering/logistics.
- Conduct research on green building alternatives to current blueprint specifications.
Facilities Support

- Identify opportunities to streamline facilities processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
- Support in evaluating vendor performance by researching new vendors and gathering feedback to inform decision-making.
- Help identify opportunities for sustainable facilities management practices.
- Conduct surveys and gather feedback from retail stores to identify facilities-related needs and areas for improvement.
What you’ll need: (Requirements)
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree-seeking program as a third, fourth-year student, with a major or concentration in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
- Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Bluebeam is a plus.
- Passion for sustainability, retail design, construction, and facilities operations.
