About the role

OVERVIEW
 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager (Print/Point-of-Sale) with a strong background in promotional products, print production, point-of-sale marketing, experiential programs, or procurement outsourcing environments. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted client partner, overseeing the execution of integrated marketing and activation programs while driving account growth, supplier performance, and operational excellence.

This role is ideal for a strategic, client-focused professional who excels in fast-paced environments, can effectively manage multiple stakeholders, and has experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex marketing, print, POS, tradeshow, and promotional initiatives.

Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Saralry  $100,000 - $115,000 / year

 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building trusted relationships and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client business objectives, marketing strategies, and operational needs to deliver value-driven solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand account relationships, grow revenue, and support long-term business objectives.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of print, point-of-sale, promotional, experiential, and tradeshow programs.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful program execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across account management, operations, supply chain, creative, production, and vendor partners.
  • Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks, and implement solutions to ensure deadlines and service levels are achieved.
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations, business reviews, project updates, and strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee supplier and vendor relationships, including production schedules, issue resolution, quality assurance, and cost management.
  • Review creative concepts, production proofs, and physical samples to ensure alignment with brand standards and project requirements.
  • Track campaign and program performance, providing reporting, insights, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and support team members by establishing priorities, managing workloads, and fostering professional development.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams to support seamless execution across multiple markets and business units.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • 5+ years of progressive account management experience within promotional products, print production, point-of-sale marketing, experiential marketing, procurement outsourcing, or related agency environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing complex client accounts and delivering large-scale marketing activation programs.
  • Experience overseeing campaigns involving print production, point-of-sale materials, tradeshow exhibits, promotional merchandise, or experiential marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success managing supplier and vendor relationships, including production oversight, quality control, and issue resolution.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading and developing teams, including workload management, coaching, and performance support.
  • Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and business growth.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to drive projects from concept through completion.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across internal departments, client organizations, suppliers, and global teams.
PREFERRED
  • Experience working with consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, or brand marketing organizations.
  • Prior experience managing print vendors and participating in onsite press checks.
  • Experience within the tobacco industry.
  • Knowledge of promotional merchandise
