Lead Data Governance Analyst

Superlanet is seeking a Lead Data Governance Analyst to join our healthcare client’s IT team in Texas. This contract-to-hire role  offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact by shaping and executing enterprise data governance strategy. This position requires an onsite presence in Texas. 

The Lead Data Governance Analyst will drive data integrity, security, and compliance across the organization—serving as the bridge between IT, clinical, and business leaders. This role will develop governance policies, promote data stewardship, and ensure alignment with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, CMS).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.

• Define data ownership, quality metrics, and accountability across departments.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and partner with Information Security teams on data privacy.

• Promote data literacy and train business units on governance best practices.

• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to enable high-quality analytics and reporting.

• Lead governance projects and mentor analysts on tools such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or Informatica .

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Data Science, or related field.

• 7+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or healthcare analytics.

• Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD, CPT, LOINC, SNOMED).

• Experience with EHR data (Epic, Oracle/Cerner, Meditech, etc.) and healthcare compliance frameworks.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree or Data Governance/Management certification (CDMP, DGSP, CHDA, etc.).

• Experience leading enterprise data governance initiatives.
