The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

As a Sr Consultant on the Business Insurance (BI) Actuarial Product – CMP team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the post-monitoring function of Travelers' Business Owners Policy (BOP) Product. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with the Product Management (PM) group and the Select CMP Business Unit (BU) Actuarial team to develop innovative tools that monitor and deliver insights into various aspects of our business. In this dynamic role, you will also provide actuarial support for an exciting, upcoming countrywide Model Version Release, which incorporates substantial investments into several new foundational product capabilities. You will be at the forefront of leading advancements in our data products, pricing, and batch rating capabilities, working alongside a diverse group of business partners, including CMP Line Product Management, BU Actuarial, Analytics & Research, and Data & Analytics. Join us in shaping the future of Business Insurance with your expertise and innovative mindset.The Sr. Consultant, Actuarial and Analytics is an analytic role that encompasses the personal ownership of operational assignments and support of strategic assignments which may include reserving, rate-making, pricing, planning/forecasting, project management and research. The individual in this role is expected to have a high level of partnership within assigned unit and across projects, and be an influential member of project teams, providing analytical insights to leadership and Business unit partners. The Sr. Consultant, Actuarial and Analytics will work on assignments requiring knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas: Actuarial techniques and/or research methods Statistical analyses Foundational business knowledge Line of Business knowledge.

What Will You Do?
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive studies and analyses on profitability, mix, competitiveness, and state/segment pricing.
Provide analytical support to Product Management and Underwriting teams.
Develop new monitoring tools and automate existing processes to enhance efficiency.
Drive improvements in data quality within key data products and invest in further automation and process efficiencies.
Communicate business and technical findings effectively to peers, business partners, and management.
Demonstrate strong technical aptitude in Excel, SAS, Python, and/or other programming languages.
Strategy:
Participate on strategic projects with execution responsibility for assigned project sub-components.
Recommend and execute solutions for assigned project to resolve challenges of an initiative.
Execute work thoughtfully and efficiently as a team member to improve project team performance and timelines.
This position may participate on cross-unit and Enterprise initiatives.
Operational:
Independently refresh actuarial and analytic analyses, perform new analysis with guidance, and begin to apply judgment.
