As People Leader you will have a key role ensuring that our people continuously enhance their professional growth and career path to support, that our Global IT organization has the capabilities needed to support the company. Global IT has great cultural values and have embarked on an agile transformation journey, with, but we are not there yet. In your role you will be a significant part of this journey together with the rest of Global IT.

You will be attracting, hiring and retaining talents in the US to ensure as we grow that we able to deliver to support the Ascendis Pharma business goals.

You will join the Ascendis Pharma Global IT, Strategic Management Group, consisting of other managers in strategic positions with direct report to the CIO.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Individual Development of the people reporting to you
• Coach and mentor people
• Attract, hire and onboard talent
• Plan capability needs together with product teams
• Facilitate cross functions collaboration and knowledge sharing through communities of practice
• Secure development of competencies across the function
• Support the agile transformation initiative through mentoring and coaching
• Help continue the focus on a workplace culture that supports continuous feed-back

Requirements

The successful candidate has 5+ years of experience from a position with people manager responsibility and a strong background in the delivery of IT solutions. This is not an entry-level position. Ideally you have worked in a biotech or pharmaceutical company, a consultancy or in a regulated industry. You have experience with:

• Managing stakeholders and leading people in teams by example
• Experience in people management and people development
• Working with agile transformations or have been part of an agile transformation

You are agile at heart and more concerned about the result of your people than your individual success. You are able to form relations with people reporting to you and stakeholders in the function.

You work in a pragmatic and inclusive fashion, listening to your stakeholders and adjusting the approach to fit their needs. Your approach is entrepreneurial, and you keep your composure when things move quickly.

You hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or something completely different. Ideally you also have some agile education under your belt. Most importantly, you are bend on coaching and developing others to perform the best to their abilities.

We offer an exciting and challenging position in an entrepreneurial and international company with a short line of command. You will be involved in activities that are central to Ascendis Pharma’s strategy and work with highly skilled and experienced colleagues on advancing an exciting product pipeline.

Travelling: Approx. 5-10 days/year

Approximate salary: $200-215K/year
