About the role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance tasks required to ensure safe and efficient operational effectiveness of equipment and systems which enable Reworld’s industrial disposal process.

Position Responsibilities:

• Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.

• Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns of equipment and operational downtime.

• Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdowns and unplanned downtime collaborating with cross functional departments.

• Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair, installation of equipment, and utility systems are met to minimize production downtime.

• Utilize Reworld’ s CMMS system to open and close out work orders, check out spare parts, and other activities as required in the plant.

• Observe and evaluate the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions utilizing sounds mechanical principals.

• Basic metal fabrication including cutting, grinding, and welding.

• Troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, power transfer mechanism such as coupling, gear boxes, belts, and sheaves.

Position Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.

• Must have the ability to work both scheduled and unscheduled overtime as needed.

Physical Demands of the Role:

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.

• Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.

• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.

• Qualify to wear a full-face respirator. 

• Consistently work in various weather conditions

This position's expected hourly pay rate is $35-$40.00. Pay rate can be increased for applicant with more than minimum years for experience. This is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary will consider various factors, including experience, ability, and location. Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and these ranges should not be considered career salary limits or caps.
